Botox lasts from 2 ½ to 4 months with some of our patients having results up to 6 months. With strenuous exercise, such as marathon training, Botox will usually dissipate 1-2 weeks earlier than normal. This is due to an increase in the basal metabolic rate.
At NuImage we dose Botox by the patient’s preference. Most of our patients want minimal movement to maintain a natural look, whereas some patients want no movement at all. We leave that decision to each patient.
The art of Botox injections comes with understanding of the procedure and experience. The muscles of the forehead, glabella and crow’s feet are different in each patient. For example, some patients have strong muscles resulting in deep furrows in the forehead while others have multiple thinner lines. Some patients have a higher forehead and others with lines only in the mid area. In these patients the amount or the placement of Botox would be different.
This same principle applies to all areas treated with Botox. Not only does this afford the patient a more natural look, but also is cost effective. Patients new to our practice usually save a considerable amount of money for an as good or better result. This method of treatment has led us to perform 1500-2000 Botox patient treatments per year, for many years.

FILLERS
Filler is injected into areas where you want to plump, fill, and or enhance areas of the face. Filler is also used to soften or eliminate lines. These areas can be cheeks, nose, lips, around the mouth, glabella (11s), crows feet and more.
Our preference is the Juvederm line, which is the dominant filler in the market place both in the US and overseas. Each of the Juvederm fillers have different densities and pliability and have their own advantages in different areas.
The type of filler used can vary based on location and the needed density of the filler. Treatment sites also have an effect on how long the filler lasts. For instance, non-surgical rhinoplasty (nose job) fillers can last up to 2-3 years.
What sets us apart from our competitors:
1) We do not require you to purchase a full syringe. You only pay for what you need. This avoids over filling and maintains a more natural appearance and is more cost effective.
2) We are able to combine different products to optimize results. For example; we usually prefer Volbella to enhance the edge of the lip because it is supple and discrete, whereas Vollure or Ultra Plus are more robust for the body of the lip.
3) In some instances, we can perform temporary injections to let you see what the result will look like. We do this at no charge, and it dissipates within a few days. This is particularly beneficial in the non-surgical rhinoplasty (nose job) or enhancements of the chin.
